UC and Collaboration Events

Events play a huge part in the UC and collaboration and arena. Despite the enablement of remote working and dispersed teams, sometimes you can't find better than a good old-fashioned get together.

Below is a list of key collaboration events in the calendar where Mio will be either exhibiting or attending.

UC and Collaboration Events January

Microsoft Ignite The Tour (January 16th-17th)

There are several must-attend events in the Microsoft calendar through the year.

One of the conferences that we always look forward to is Microsoft Ignite, an experience that includes over 1,000 sessions, and 25,000 attendees. 

Ignite is your chance to learn all about the changing landscape of the Microsoft portfolio and is packed with various breakout sessions and technology tracks to explore. 

This year, the event is heading to London, for an exciting new experience. Running between the 16th and 17th of January, it will host more than 350 experts from around the globe, and over 100 deep-dive sessions.

Work Rebooted (January 29th-31st)

Hosted in San Francisco, the Work Rebooted conference asks businesses to re-examine and improve the way that they think about the nature of work.

This knowledge-sharing conference focuses on examining some of the latest trends in the workplace, from using collaborative tools to thriving in a remote working environment. 

Partners for the summit include everyone from Microsoft to Jane.ai and Culture Amp.

If you're looking for a chance to learn and network with others about the future of the work environment, this is a must-attend event.

Cloud Comms Summit London (March 5th)

Cloud Comms Summit is one of the world's leading events in collaboration and communications. If you need a new way to connect and network with key industry leaders, then this is the place for you. 

Every year, Cavell Group hosts the summit, welcoming a wide range of world-leading vendors and seminars. 

Key themes for 2020 include:

TADHack Mini Orlando (March 28th)

If you’re a fan of the TADHack and TadSummit events (like we are), you’ll love the mini Orlando event running in March 2020.

This get-together will be taking place in the Valencia College West Campus, in the week just before Enterprise Connect.

For this 2020 event, TADHack hosts a hackathon that will focus on intelligent assistants and agents using conversational interfaces.

This will be a great preview for anyone attending Enterprise Connect.

UC and Collaboration Events April

Enterprise Connect (March 30th - April 2nd)

Enterprise Connect is one of the leading UC conferences, drawing attendees from around the world to the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida.

Not only does this event cover crucial UC and contact center experiences, but in 2020, there will also be a specific conference track just for team collaboration. 

The team collaboration track will guide users through the process of rolling out collaboration software successfully, with tips for user-friendliness and quick adoption. 

In 2019, Mio was awarded the Best Innovation for Collaboration in the Best of Enterprise Connect awards.

We'll be back this year demonstrating our message interoperability product.

Cisco Connect Houston (April 16th)

Cisco Connect is a series of educational events that run throughout the year in locations across the US.

As Mio is based in Austin, our local Cisco Connect is in Houston. Here, we can learn new things about the Cisco Webex Teams roadmap and the upcoming tools available for tomorrow's collaborators. 

We're looking forward to another exciting series of announcements and insights from this year's event, which comes complete with educational content for attendees to explore.

Slack Frontiers (April)

Slack has yet to announce the official date for Frontiers 2020. 

However, since 2019's conference, featuring a keynote from Serena Williams, took place from the 21st to the 23rd of April, we're expecting a similar time in the year ahead. 

Slack always has plenty of exciting announcements to share as part of it's Frontier's event, including the delivery of newly expanded search solutions in 2019, and an insight into the range of opportunities available for IT admins.

Shared channels and intercompany collaboration is sure to be hot topic this year, so we have our eyes peeled for a date.

For attendees that can't make it to San Francisco, Slack also toured Frontiers to Europe and Asia in 2019.

Microsoft Business Applications Summit (April 20th-21st)

The Microsoft Business Applications summit is a partner and customer conference hosted by the leaders at Microsoft.

Each year, it brings together a growing community of customers and partners in roles branching from business analysts and power users, to implementers, architects, and evangelists. 

The innovative event provides a great environment for people interested in Microsoft and Microsoft Teams to learn more about the tech.

You can find out how other crucial tools work to enhance productivity too, like Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. 

The event takes place in Anaheim California this year, just before the annual Microsoft Build event.

UC Expo (May 13th-14th)

UC Expo is one of the most significant communication events in the world. Hosted in London each year, UC Expo showcases the solutions available from some of the world's leading brands in collaboration. 

In 2019, we saw a massive focus on the collaborative opportunities available from Microsoft and Cisco.

Microsoft Build (May 19th-21st)

A Microsoft conference specifically designed for developers, Build is the place to be if you want to learn about designing tools that work with the Microsoft stack. 

Microsoft Build is the go-to event for developers, architects, and startups converge to check out the latest trends and innovations in everything from Microsoft Teams to Office 365.

At this event, you’ll have an opportunity to access some of the latest tools for creating integrations and bots that align with the Microsoft Teams experience. Students can get involved in the developer goodness in the “student zone”.

Cisco Live (May 31st- June 4th)

This immersive and world-renowned customer and partner conference provides you with unique insights into every part of the Cisco portfolio - including the Webex roadmap.

If you want to learn more about Cisco tools and how you can use Webex to enhance your collaborative experience, this is the place for you. 

Cisco Live gives attendees endless opportunities to learn from the company's best and brightest, with one-on-one meetings with subject matter experts and educational courses too.

This year, Amy Chang's keynote highlighted the importance of cognitive collaboration in the workforce.

Included in 2019's video was an insight into the integrations that Cisco delivers, with the help of leading solutions like Mio.

Microsoft Inspire (July 20th-24th) 

Microsoft Inspire is one of the must-see events on anyone's calendar if you're interested in collaboration and communication from Microsoft.

Running in Las Vegas, Nevada, Inspire is where Microsoft partners share thoughts and ideas for the future of the workplace. 

Full of thought-provoking learning opportunities and seminars, Inspire is the perfect place to network with professionals and learn more about the ever-evolving Microsoft stack.
