Mio is a notification-only integration that bridges messages between Slack and other platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom Team Chat. Once connected, Mio listens for channel and direct messages sent to users in Slack and relays them to the corresponding user on the connected platform.

Users do not need to interact with Mio directly, nor do they need to learn new slash commands. The only message a user may see from Mio is a prompt requesting authorization, triggered when an administrator initiates a connection or action on behalf of that user.

Frequently asked questions

Mio is not a self-serve application. To use the Mio Slack app, your organization must be onboarded by a Mio representative. Once onboarded, administrators can connect their Slack workspace by logging in to the Mio Hub and clicking “Connect Slack."

Mio is not a separate chat platform, but rather an integration for your existing Google Chat, Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Zoom Chat applications. Organizations will need to install the Mio app onto their respective chat platforms in order to enable cross-platform communications.
Mio is not a chat migration tool. However, if your organization plans on migrating from one chat platform to another, we recommend using Mio during the start of your transition period so that you can retain as many messages as possible. Mio is not able to transfer any previously sent messages or chat history.
Mio is built to interoperate Google, Microsoft, Slack, or Zoom.
The Mio team of experts will work directly with your organization's administrators to ensure all platforms are correctly set up. Once deployment is complete, users can enjoy cross-platform interoperability immediately.
